Life, Money, and the Value You Create
Welcome to the Inner Edge, where I explore insights on wealth, fulfillment, growth, and mastery.
What Money Really Is
Imagine life is like a block party.
There’s a lot that goes into making a block party happen.
You need plates, tables, napkins, chairs, food, music, and, of course, guests.
The beauty is that everyone comes together to make it work.
One person sets up the chairs.
Another brings the snacks.
Somebody orders the pizza.
Someone else organizes musical chairs.
Everyone does their part.
But how does this tie into money?
Let me explain.
While everyone is doing their part, something magical happens.
It all comes together—a symphony of energy.
That’s what money is: a byproduct of the value you create.
It’s not just about money. It’s about contributing to something bigger.
At the party, the person who helped the most is remembered.
Maybe they organized the whole thing or made sure everyone had a great time.
Because of that, they’ll get more opportunities.
They might get invited to another party.
They might meet new friends.
They might be the first person others think of when help is needed.
It’s not just about what they gave. It’s the energy they shared.
This applies to life. When you reach out to help someone, it stays with them.
It all adds up.
When you give freely, you receive freely.
But what if someone gave only because they wanted something in return?
Their energy would feel off. They’d act strange, like they were keeping score.
Everyone would notice.
It’s the same with friendships, respect, and being liked.
When you care only for yourself, people feel it.
When you truly care for others, they feel that too.
So, here’s the truth: it all comes down to the energy you put out.
If you want abundance that’s cool.
But the true beauty comes from the value you create.
And there’s joy in that.
I’m not rich, but I used to think I was happiest when I’d get a payment from a client (although it’s still dope).
My happiest days are when I build something super cool and see it come to life. And if it helps better someone’s life, that’s even cooler.
I’m far happier making less when my clients are more happy than when I made more and our systems sucked.
I imagine it will be the same if I make more money.
What if you’re at the block party and have nothing to offer?
No money to buy snacks. No driveway to host.
That’s okay.
Figure out what you can do.
Maybe you can cook a dish. Maybe you can help set up tables.
Maybe you can greet people with a big smile and bring good vibes.
Maybe you can just listen to someone who needs to talk.
There’s always something to give.
And slowly, you’ll find things working in your favor.
Not because you expect it, but because you showed up the right way.
Here’s the most important part: this energy has to come from within.
It’s not just about money. It’s about how you live every day.
How you treat people. How you contribute to the world around you.
I’m writing this as I reflect on money, life, and what it all means.
But ultimately, it’s for you to figure out.
What kind of energy will you bring to the block party?
